What is an AI Interview?
An AI interview is a job screening process where software, rather than a human, manages the interaction. In some cases, you answer questions posed by a chatbot. In others, you record video responses that the system evaluates. The software uses algorithms to analyze your word choice, tone of voice, and facial expressions. It then assigns a score or ranking based on how well your performance matches the requirements defined by the employer. This process aims to standardize the initial evaluation of many applicants at once.
Why this matters to you
Employers use these tools to process large numbers of applications quickly and consistently. Understanding that a computer is analyzing your communication style can help you focus on clear, concise, and professional responses. It is important to know that your performance is being measured by data points rather than just human intuition, which changes how you might approach your preparation.
