What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than relying on a local server or a personal computer. When you use cloud services, you are essentially renting space and processing power from large technology companies. This setup allows you to access your applications, files, and complex software tools from any location with an internet connection. It removes the need for businesses to install and maintain physical hardware on their own premises, as the service provider handles all the infrastructure, security updates, and equipment maintenance behind the scenes.
Why this matters to you
It allows your organization to access massive computing power and storage on demand. You only pay for what you use, which helps you avoid large upfront costs for hardware. It also makes it much easier to scale your digital projects up or down as your business needs change over time.
