What is Zero-Shot Learning?
Zero-Shot Learning is the ability of an AI model to complete a task or recognize a concept it was never specifically taught or shown examples of during its training phase. Instead of requiring a developer to feed it thousands of labeled images or documents to learn a new category, the model relies on its broad, pre-existing knowledge base to infer the correct answer. It functions much like a person who can identify an object they have never seen before simply because they understand the general characteristics of the world.
